The economic development arm of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation has relocated its headquarters from Ndılǫ to downtown Yellowknife’s Precambrian Building.
Det’on Cho became a co-owner of the Precambrian Building last year.
In a newsletter circulated this week, Det’on Cho president and chief executive officer Mark Lewis said moving into the Precambrian “strengthens our presence in downtown Yellowknife while creating additional space for YKDFN at the Det’on Cho Building in Ndılǫ.”
That space in Ndılǫ is being used to support community programs, Det’on Cho stated.
Lewis said Det’on Cho would maintain a “part-time presence in Ndılǫ so we can continue providing accessible support and representation to our clients and community members there.”
The move was finalized on August 24. The new offices are on the Precambrian’s ninth floor.
