Ontario’s Great Lake Swimmers are among acts added to the Folk on the Rocks 2026 lineup by festival organizers on Friday.
In the second of three anticipated lineup reveals, Folk also announced alternative rock duo The Darcys and Mi’kmaq singer-songwriter Drives the Common Man.
They join previously announced Oji-Cree artist Aysanabee, who just won Junos for contemporary Indigenous artist and alternative album of the year.
Yellowknife metal group Gnarwhal are among NWT acts now confirmed to play Folk 2026, which runs from July 17-19.
Other out-of-territory acts announced on Friday include female-fronted rock trio Altered By Mom, acoustic project Daughters of Donbas, Whitehorse grunge-rock act Electric Lemonade, queer Cree singer-songwriter Fontine, Saskatchewan roots pianist Jeffery Straker, electro-synth act June Thrasher, Montreal-based artist of Haitian descent Waahli, and dance interpreter and choreographer Worn.
NWT acts confirmed on Friday include Cat McGurk, Glam on the Rocks, The Only, Stacie Arden Smith and Upper Mall Rats.
Already announced earlier this year were The OBGMs, Justine Giles, Janky Bungag, Virgo Rising, Robert Adam, Marrow Bones, Scott Cook alongside Pamela Mae, Northwyne, R.A.S.K.L., Bella Beats, Taiga Yoga, Rock the Arts Puppets, NorthWords NWT Storytime and the Yellowknives Dene Drummers.
Early-bird tickets are on sale via the Folk on the Rocks website. A third and final wave of acts is set to be announced on May 15.
Cabin Radio will air full live coverage of Folk on the Rocks 2026, while the Cabin Radio Lakefront Stage returns.
