Cabin Radio’s interactive outhouse returns at YK’s trade show

Cabin Radio understands that sometimes, you just need time to yourself in the outhouse. Even if the outhouse is in the middle of the arena at one of Yellowknife’s busiest events of the year.

Head to booth 14 at the 2026 Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce Spring Trade Show and you can enter the wonderful world of the Cabin Radio soundproofed outhouse studio.

Inside, you’ll find a microphone and a headset. You can record a Mother’s Day greeting, a Cabin Radio 93.9 FM liner (yes, that’s the frequency, save a preset now!), or anything else you’d like to commit to tape.

You can even just come sit in the thing for 20 seconds of silence. We get it.

To get to booth 14: breeze through the lobby, head left into the Ed Jeske arena, hug the left-hand side and you’ll find us in the back left corner.

When you get there, make sure you also enter our draw to win a $200 Cabin Radio gift card. We have new merch on the way for the summer and you can use the QR code at the booth to browse what’s already available.

Tune in to Mornings at the Cabin from 7-9am on Monday, May 11 to find out who wins the gift card.

There are, of course, a few other booths to check out. Maybe this year, we’ll be the only ones with an outhouse. (Boy, were we surprised last year.)
