RCMP say everyone arrested during a police operation on Yellowknife’s 57 Street last Friday has been released without charge.

Seven people were arrested during May 8’s afternoon-long operation, according to RCMP.

In a Tuesday morning update, police said a home on the street had been searched as part of a drugs-related investigation.

“During the search, evidence of drug trafficking and a quantity of cash was located and seized,” police stated, adding that while everyone arrested was released without charge, an investigation is continuing.

One of the seven people arrested was reportedly already wanted on an outstanding warrant. That person, too, has been released to appear in court at a later date on existing charges, RCMP stated.
