The City of Yellowknife is holding a public hearing on September 9 where residents can provide comments on its proposed YK 2050 Community Plan.

A revised draft community plan received first reading at a council meeting on August 26.

The public hearing will start at 4:30pm on September 9 at the City Hall Council Chamber.

The city said written submissions must be received by 4:30pm on September 2, and residents who want to make verbal submissions are asked to contact Yellowknife’s city clerk before noon on September 9.

You can review the proposed community plan online or by contacting the city clerk.

Following the public hearing, a tentative schedule published by the city suggests a second reading of the community plan by council will take place on September 23, and submission to the territorial government would happen by the end of September.
