A fire crew responded to a burning vehicle outside Yellowknife’s 97 Niven Drive apartment building on Friday evening.
Residents were evacuated as an SUV burned near to the building’s entrance shortly after 8pm.
The fire, below a balcony containing a propane tank, was swiftly extinguished.
No injuries were reported.

The fire was the latest in a series involving vehicles parked in Yellowknife.
Several such fires took place in colder winter temperatures, when many vehicles would have been plugged in.
