Yellowknife Public Health is relocating. Starting next week it’ll be based in the same downtown location as some primary care services, the NWT’s health authority says.
The public health unit starts operations on the main floor of YK Centre East on Tuesday, October 13. Primary care and lab services already operate from the same building.
The Jan Stirling building location won’t offer any in-person services from 1pm on Friday, October 9 while the move begins. Call 867-767-9120 if you need assistance that afternoon.
From Tuesday, “Pod B of the YK Centre East Building on the main floor will house Yellowknife Public Health and Laboratory Services, while Pod A will continue to provide primary care services,” the NWT’s health authority stated.
“Bringing these services together is an important step toward creating a more centralized health centre where residents can access a range of health services in one familiar, convenient location.”
