The NWT’s Department of Justice gets a new deputy minister next month. Brad Patzer takes over from Charlene Doolittle on November 2.
In a news release late last week, the GNWT said Doolittle – the department’s deputy minister since 2020 – is retiring after more than 25 years at the territorial government.
Patzer, an assistant deputy minister at the justice department, began his legal career in Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie, moving to Yellowknife in 2001 according to a short GNWT biography.
“Brad Patzer brings a wealth of legal experience and a deep understanding of the Northwest Territories to this role,” Premier RJ Simpson was quoted as saying.
