Canadian North is turning some of its departures from Yellowknife to Edmonton into morning flights and adding an extra service each week to Norman Wells.

The airline said flight 243 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays will now depart at 7:30am, replacing services to Edmonton that previously flew on Monday evenings, Wednesday afternoons and Friday afternoons.

The southbound morning flights arrive at 9:10am, which Canadian North advertises as “an earlier start to your time in Edmonton or for easier connectivity.”

Northbound from Edmonton, flight 244 will depart at 8am daily and flight 114 now operates at 10:20am on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The airline said it is also adding an extra service between Yellowknife, Rankin Inlet and Ottawa each week, alongside moving from four to five Norman Wells services per week.

The latest schedule will be in effect until March 13. Canadian North said it may change again at that point “due to the time change or other needs.”
