The report found the landing gear went down early, preventing the plane from keeping speed and altitude. It made an emergency landing 6.5 km from the airport.
An amber alert for a 14-month-old Alberta boy, believed to have been abducted by his dad, has been cancelled. The boy has been located unharmed.
The kettle campaign has close to $36,000 in donations from Yellowknifers to date, way up from 2018. Volunteers are sorely needed this weekend say organizers.
Yellowknifers can park for free during the Christmas holiday. Transit will also be free during this time, but no busses will run December 25, 26 or January 1.
