A wildfire is now "highly likely" to reach Behchokǫ̀ overnight, the NWT's wildfire agency said as Rae residents were told to flee to the community's western tip.
Some traffic was allowed between Yellowknife and Behchokǫ̀ but more wildfire-related closures are likely. There's an evacuation order along some of the highway.

The NWT confirmed pandemic measures will change on Friday and North Slave schools can reopen from Monday. A new exemption form for businesses is now available.
To contain a Covid-19 outbreak, Yellowknife will enter at least 10 days of stricter gathering limits. All businesses' existing exemptions are removed.
