The owners of Yellowknife’s former Fat Fox Café are back in business.

The Fat Fox was forced to vacate its Range Street premises over persistent issues with the building, including a water leak in the kitchen.

The café closed in May 2018. The building in which it leased space was subsequently demolished in August.

While the café has still to find a new, permanent home, owners Jeremy Flatt and Emma Atkinson declared “step one” of their comeback complete on Tuesday as they announced the acquisition of a permanent catering kitchen.

“We’ve got partnerships with local businesses in the works and are taking requests for catering as we speak,” the Fat Fox posted to its Facebook page.

There remains no date for the café to reopen, though work continues to finalize a new, permanent location.
