The City of Yellowknife says “disruptions to its internal network” have taken staff email offline and mean residents can’t access some online services.
In a Saturday afternoon post to Meta’s channels, the city said people are currently unable “to send or receive e-mails” involving city email addresses.
The Virtual City Hall, City View and City Explorer services aren’t available.
Phone lines are still working, the city said.
The precise cause of the online outage was not specified.
“City staff are working diligently to rectify the situation and we thank you for your patience,” Saturday’s message read.
“Updates will be provided as information is available.”
