Police in Fort Smith say they have “located and arrested” Terron Stevens, the subject of an earlier appeal in connection with an alleged assault and robbery.

Earlier, RCMP said 32-year-old Stevens was the suspect in an incident where a victim was reportedly assaulted and robbed with a firearm at a Fort Smith home.

According to RCMP, the victim was seriously injured and required a medevac for treatment. Stevens “remains at large and is believed to be in possession of a pistol,” police said on Tuesday.

In an update on Friday morning, RCMP said Stevens had been found at 11:50pm on Thursday and remanded into custody ahead of an expected Friday court appearance.

He is charged with robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, two counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of uttering threats, police said.
