Yellowknife’s Gnarwhal have released the third single from their forthcoming album Lucid Machines, which is due in March.
Lucid Machines is billed as a concept album exploring technology versus humanity.
“I won’t die in machinery,” new single Ancient Veins repeatedly declares.
“The track leans into a more mechanical, ritualistic side of Gnarwhal – grinding low-end riffs, pulsing rhythms, and a sense of slow, inescapable momentum,” the band stated in a news release.
“It’s one of the heavier and most hypnotic tracks on the record … a tightly coiled anthem of resistance.”

Ancient Veins came out on Thursday. Lucid Machines, Gnarwhal’s second album, will be released on March 19.
