Police in Yellowknife have renewed their appeal for help locating a missing 60-year-old woman reportedly last seen on Boxing Day.
Sladjana Petrovic was first reported missing by friends posting to Facebook. On Monday, police confirmed a missing persons file had been opened.
The Yellowknife RCMP believe Petrovic was last seen December 26 in the downtown area. She lives in the downtown area, police stated, and asked residents to keep an eye out for her.
“It is unusual circumstances for a person to not have activity or contact with known associates or locations where they usually frequent,” Staff Sgt Yannick Hamel stated in an update Tuesday. “We are hoping to locate Ms Petrovic as soon as possible and ensure she is safe and well.”

A Facebook photo shows Sladjana Petrovic, who friends say has been missing from Yellowknife since Thursday.
Police described Petrovic as a Caucasian woman, 5 ft 7 in tall and 257 lbs, with shoulder-length salt-and-pepper hair and blue eyes.
RCMP said she may be wearing a blue jacket and running shoes, and a satchel style purse.
