A second person reported to be hiding in Norman Wells after an incident in which two people were wounded has been found and arrested, RCMP said on Friday.

Dallas McCauley, 24, joins 23-year-old Teagan Sutherland in facing charges after last weekend’s incident, which saw one person reportedly stabbed and another shot with a crossbow and bear-sprayed.

Both victims required hospital treatment.

Sutherland was soon detained but McCauley was said by police to be hiding in the town before being eventually arrested on Thursday.

Police have said Sutherland faces charges related to breaking and entering, using a disguise with intent to commit an offence, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and aggravated assault. RCMP said he is also accused of assault with a weapon, among other charges, related to the September 11 incident.

According to police, McCauley faces charges of breaking and entering, aggravated assault, using a disguise with intent to commit an offence, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
