The NWT government will no longer pursue an argument over employees' Covid-19 leave through the courts, choosing instead to offer an amended policy.

The NWT will again adjust the weighting of high school diploma exams, from the standard 30 to 20 percent of a student's final mark, as a pandemic response.
The UNW says it expects the GNWT to appeal a recent arbitration ruling on Covid-19 leave. The GNWT has already done so in a separate ruling involving teachers.
The GNWT applied for judicial review of an arbitrator's decision reinstating Covid leave for teachers. A union rep said relations with the GNWT were "eroding."
Yellowknife's main Covid-19 testing centre will close permanently on Friday, the NWT's health authority said, after almost two years of operation.
A Yellowknife museum, Fort Smith high school, and health centres in Fort McPherson and Whatì will have ventilation work through a Covid-related federal program.
